I do not believe we should generalize. Honesty is a quality that we value as a human race. Yet, what is honesty? Is it as simple as telling the truth? If it is as simple as telling the truth, then what is the truth? In today's society, no one can categorize a situation or thing as simply as it is good or it is bad.

As far as which race is more honest? I do not think it is a matter of who is more honest. I think it is more about what they value as a culture. Chinese culture has a long and extensive history of saving faces, and Western culture, since the great Greek society, they believe in self expression. For Chinese, it is good or kind to help someone save face, and for Westerner, it is consider good to express one's true feelings.
